The baby doesn’t sleep. She is very good at being ridiculously cute but Mummy and Daddy need to sleep. Nina is a bit too helpful and keeps trying to garrote Bobbi. The fear has set in as Daddy is going back to work soon and I am to be left alone to keep these children alive without supervision or help. My boobs are turning to dust as the baby feeds all the live long day.

Through the exhaustion and relentlessness of the constant feeding, Bobbi smiles.
We went on our first family holiday to centreparcs. We walked around like the undead as we were knackered but we saw nature and had a great time.

The weather has finally started to improve and we are able to get out more after experiencing cabin fever and being at risk of developing rickets. Me and the kids went to visit my mum for a week in the Devon sunshine – after spending and eternity on the m5 (pergatory), we had a great week which involved eating a lot (my mum is a feeder), walking everywhere and the children got to ingest some sand.
Off we trotted for another little holiday in sunny (for once) Wales. Nina has taken to talking non stop from breakfast to supper. It’s a bit like mental torture.
Summer is just about here and we’re picnicking all the time. It’s cheap as chips but I’m getting fat. Bobbi still feeds ALL THE TIME which makes me want to eat the world. Maternity leave is great but the pay is shit. Leggings all the way.

We realised that it might be a great idea to get a dog as we commenced with baby led weaning. Our house was redecorated with food and Nina was in her element helping to shovel in pieces and bits too.

Daddy made us go off roading for his birthday. It was interesting. Nina announced half way that she didn’t like it, so we sat the second round out, where Bobbi decided to knit herself a suit of shit on a grassy Hill. It was magical.

I quit my job of 7 years to embark on something exciting with a great friend so instead of dreading going back to work I was insanely excited! Everything happens for a reason and what’s for you won’t pass you by.
I made the most of every minute with the girls knowing I’d be spreading myself thinner soon.

I started work and found that I loved the freedom of it. I also felt guilty as hell for skipping in to the office when I did but having child free time was an amazing tonic!
Nina turned three and got her first bike. We celebrated her birthday in Cornwall which was great as we were on the beach for some of the day.
I got the girls matching skeleton costumes and Nina refused point blank to wear hers
Nina was so excited about Christmas that she talked about it non stop for three weeks prior to the event, then Christmas eve was all a bit too much so she was sparko before we could even sort Santa a snack out. Shocking really, it’s a wonder he didn’t just miss us out and bugger off next door without even stopping.
Our house is absolutely cram packed with toys and both children were so overstimulated by the whole thing that they are actually sleeping during the day. This is not any different for Bobbi but unheard of for Nina.
So there you have it. The cake is baked and waiting to be decorated for the birthday girl and the Rum is once again flowing.
It’s been a crazy year enjoying having a small baby in the house again and although we’ve struggled with it and loved it we are really excited to see what 2017 will bring to our little family.
1. Holidays in the sun
2. Getting fitter
3. New cars
4. Boozy nights out with the Sleep Thief’s Daddy
5. Moving house.
But above all having fun and loving life.
