Vegan Katsu Curry with Yutaka

Earlier this year Dan and I attended our friend’s wedding, it was beautiful, really well put together with stunning weather and fabulous food – it (like the happy couple) was vegan. We don’t think we’d ever had a fully vegan meal before this, there always some form of meat or cheese involved, so it was an eye opener for us, causing us to experiment more with different foods. We fell in love with the bruchetta and aranchini balls – so delicious!

This was one of the first vegan meals I cooked after the wedding and if you haven’t tried it already, you need to as soon as possible.

I was sent these Yutaka products to try and review and loved them so much that I’ve bought and used them again since.

It’s really easy to use – I made a vegetable curry including broccoli, cauliflower, onion and chickpeas. I part cooked the veg first, while making up the sauce which anyone can do – simply add the block of favouring to water and simmer until it thickens – simples!

Then I added the veg and boiled some rice.

What I did do though, is double carb – I got a bit confused and made Panko potato cakes the size of our heads!

There was so much food and it was all tastey.

This products can be used in so many different recipes and tgere are sone great ideas on their website.
